The book talks about concepts like weft tension, meet and separate, and split weft for straight lines. You'll find basics like how to make a butterfly and some excellent ideas for decreasing tails in your weaving.

It is not a comprehensive technique book (that is coming later). It is an adorable and fun look at a few tapestry tips.  The illustrations are so great, you might want one for the children in your life.

Illustrations are done by Molly McNeece.

In Untangled: A Crafty Sheep’s Guide to Tapestry Weaving, artist, teacher, and writer Rebecca Mezoff gives away some of her secret tapestry weaving tips. From weaving basics like weft tension to little ideas which can make big improvements in your tapestry practice, Rebecca and her crew of hilarious sheep will show you their favorite shortcuts and best advice.

FAQ

How long will it take to get my book(s)?

This book is published by a print on demand service. Printing times are 3-5 business days in addition to whatever shipping method you choose. Please plan for this when ordering! Leave yourself plenty of time.

International shipping is really expensive. Help!

I apologize for this. I am exploring options but don’t have any answers for you right now. Stay tuned to my newsletter for updates (subscribe below).

Can I learn all the basic tapestry techniques from this book?

No! This book is not a techniques book. I am writing one of those, but that 300-pager won’t be released until 2020 through a major US publisher. This book is a fun look at some important tapestry concepts with some very cute illustrations.

Why can’t I get this on Amazon?

This book is a wonderful little hardback. Amazon only sells paperbacks in this particular way. Publishing is complicated and for right now, this is my decision. You’ll have to order through the Craftysheeppress.com website.
