Making a new online class is always an adventure for me. I love the challenge of it--mapping out the content, deciding what will be taught, figuring out the best way to present material for different learning styles. And when it is all done, it is a marvelous feeling.

My newest online course, Weaving Tapestry on Little Looms, came from a workshop I've taught for years about weaving on Hokett looms. These little wooden looms made by one woodworker in rural New Mexico, have become so popular he can scarce keep up with orders. And for good reason. They are beautiful tools and there is nothing more joyful than making little things with little wooden tools.

I had so many people asking for the Mobile Tapestry Weaver workshop that I decided it would be my next online class. Because these little looms are so accessible--they offer a way of weaving that is not intimidating and inspires experimentation--I felt it was important to make this class. Tapestry weaving can often seem intimidating, what with its big looms and jargon. But it doesn't have to be difficult. It is a marvelous way to express yourself in fiber and I wanted to make it accessible to everyone.

My original intention was to make the class much shorter than it ended up being. My penchant for thoroughness showed itself again and the class ended up about four times larger than I planned. But I decided that the price would remain the same.

So I give you, Weaving Tapestry on Little Looms. For the month of November 2016, the price is $79. December 1, it will increase to $129. Both prices are a bargain.

It is late evening on Halloween. The course is done. It is open for all of you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
