Untangled: A Crafty Sheep’s Guide to Tapestry Weaving is a darling hardcover book that I wrote with my cousin Molly McNeece. Molly is a children’s book illustrator, artist, and art educator in the Detroit public schools.
The book covers concepts like weft tension, meet and separate, and split weft for straight lines. You'll find basics like how to make a butterfly and some excellent ideas for decreasing tails in your weaving.
It is not a comprehensive technique book. It is an adorable and fun look at a few tapestry tips. The illustrations are so great, you might want one for the children in your life.

Once upon a time in a workshop in Holland, Michigan, a student named Marg gave me an idea. She said, "Rebecca, why don't you put all these little tips into a book so we can have them all in one place?" That idea rolled around for quite awhile and a year or two later I was hanging out with my favorite children's book illustrator, artist, and art teacher, Molly McNeece, and it occurred to me that we could collaborate on this book and the results would be extraordinary.

Shipping facts
This is a self-published book and I ship it myself. That means that I will only be shipping it out once a week if you choose media mail shipping. USPS will come to pick it up at my studio if you choose priority shipping, but due to COVID, I am not going to the post office more than once a week. Media mail shipping can take awhile (up to two weeks in the USA) especially with current COVID delays at the USPS.
Can I learn all the basic tapestry techniques from this book?
